A $15 million campaign to develop tomorrow's leaders, remove financial barriers to the Delta Chi experience, and secure Delta Chi’s future. GIVE NOW The Campaign for Delta Chi

Why This Campaign?

The Future of Delta Chi is Not Guaranteed

For 136 years, Delta Chi has shaped brothers who shape the world — more than 135,000 men have worn our badge, over 100,000 of them living alumni today. But the world our undergraduate brothers navigate now is more complex, more demanding, and more uncertain than ever before.

Fewer young men are choosing college. Those who do face rising financial pressure. Too many are navigating mental health struggles and isolation without the support they need. At the same time, the expectations placed on our chapters keep growing — the need for strong leadership has never been greater.

If Delta Chi is going to meet this moment, we can’t rise to it incrementally. We have to rise to it boldly. That’s why the Delta Chi Fraternity and the Delta Chi Foundation launched Great Advantages Are Derived: a $15 million investment in the future of Delta Chi — so the experience that shaped us lasts, and grows stronger, for every brother who comes after.

Our Priorities

DEVELOPING LEADERS

The character of a man is the greatest measure of his potential. This fund will expand award-winning leadership programs that prepare thousands of brothers to lead on campus, in their professions, and in their communities.

$5.5 MILLION ENDOWMENT

REMOVING BARRIERS, REWARDING EXCELLENCE

Rising tuition and living costs make it harder for members to stay engaged in the fraternity experience that shapes their leadership and character. This fund will provide scholarships that remove financial barriers, allowing members to focus on earning their degrees, growing as leaders, and fully experiencing Delta Chi’s lifelong advantages.

$3 MILLION ENDOWMENT

SECURING DELTA CHI'S FUTURE

A strong Foundation behind the scenes is what makes every scholarship, leadership program, and changed life possible. This will create permanent resources that sustain scholarships, leadership development, and educational programs for generations of Delta Chi brothers.

$4 MILLION ENDOWMENT

OPPORTUNITY FUND

This lets the Foundation respond where the need is greatest — fueling the scholarships, leadership programs, and daily operations that make everything else possible. It’s the fund behind the fund: the resources, systems, and people that let the Foundation serve with excellence. It creates opportunities for brothers to graduate with confidence and provides transformative leadership experiences and a lifetime of brotherhood.

$2.5 MILLION

Our PROGRESS

The greatest campaigns are never sustained by a handful of people alone — they’re completed when an entire brotherhood decides the future is worth investing in. Stand with us. Invest with us. Lead with us.

Employer Matching Gift

Many employers match charitable contributions made by their employees or retirees, increasing the impact of a donor’s gift. Eligibility and match ratios vary by employer. Donors must typically submit a matching gift request through their employer.

Donor-Advised Funds (DAF)

Recommend a grant to the Delta Chi Foundation from your donor-advised fund through your sponsoring organization (such as Fidelity, Schwab, or Vanguard). Be sure to also designate the Delta Chi Foundation as a beneficiary upon your passing.

Blended Gifts

Blended gifts combine long-term charitable goals by pairing a future planned gift with a current, annual commitment. This way, you will be able to see your philanthropic dreams come true during your lifetime.

Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)

The Qualified Charitable Distribution (previously known as the IRA charitable rollover) allows individuals 70½ or older to give up to $100,000 each year, directly from their IRA to one or more qualified charities without paying federal income tax. Gifts must come directly from the donor’s IRA account. A QCD may be counted toward satisfying your Required Minimum Distributions (RMD), which now start at age 73. Please contact your IRA plan administrator for appropriate forms.

Securities

Gifts of appreciated stock or mutual fund shares that have been held for at least a year qualify for an income tax deduction equal to the current market value of the transferred assets. By transferring these assets directly to the Delta Chi Foundation, you also avoid capital gains taxes.

Will or Trust

The ultimate act of brotherhood! A bequest allows you to include the Delta Chi Foundation in your will or living trust. This gift is made after your lifetime and does not affect your current income or assets. Simply include a percentage or specific dollar amount.

IRA & Retirement Accounts

An easy way to donate your IRAs and retirement accounts to the Delta Chi Foundation at the time of your death is simply to name the Delta Chi Foundation on a beneficiary designation form provided by your IRA custodian or retirement plan administrator. By using assets that income taxes have been deferred as a charitable gift, the accrued income tax liability is avoided.

Life Insurance

Gifts of life insurance enable you to make a substantial future gift by making small premium payments over time. It’s best to name the Delta Chi Foundation as the owner and beneficiary. Then you select the area you want to support when the policy is realized.
